Residents of the nursing home for Dutch-Indonesian people Rumah Kita in Wageningen are attending a commemoration for the capitulation of Japan at the Indonesian war. After the war ended a new era started, where most of the Euro-Indonesian people had to leave the country.

Supporters of the Dutch team in the Utrecht district Ondiep are watching the finals of the World Championship Soccer 2010 between The Netherlands and Spain. Holland will be defeated by 1-0.

At the St Getrudiscathedral in Utrecht the first female dean of the Old-Catholic Church (OKK), Annemieke Duurkoop, is installed together with a new pastor Bernd Wallet. The church has no connections with the Vatican.
